Hello guys

Some help to the portuguese.

I think the regulator of the alternator is broke.

Someone knows a good place to fix this? Someone who understand about Alfas and engine 3.2?

I know is a hard work when we talk about the alternator. But perhaps someone had already the same problem

Aitah

Where are You located?
In Tallinn there are 3 places where i would take my car: PilotMotors (address; Läike tee 32/2 ), TRK (address; Pirni 5) and lastly Stoltsen (Salve 2).
Really great prices and great service in the last one. PilotMotors and TRK may have longer waiting period.

Hi,

actually- changing regulator on alternator is piece of cake ... provided, that alternator is outside of engine compartment.

As I recall there is almost no possibility of removing regulator on 24V V6 while alternator is in place and very small possibility, that alternator can be moved enough to gain access to rear of it.

However If You are in Estonia, I would suggest TRK- if there is a way to gain access to it they would have proabably found it by now.

Theoretically If rear bank headers are accessible and can be moved, then it is possible to change regulator without removing the engine  It would require some expertise of course, since there are lot of things that go wrong.

Unfortunately I have to say, that Pilot does not have as much experience with "old" Alfas as TRK does
